Jody Strong
School Owner & PIANO INSTRUCTOR
Jody hails from New York City where she studied the piano and oboe for over 25 years at such institutions as the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and the Conservatory of Music at the State University of New York at Purchase.
Jody has taught piano to hundreds if not thousands of students and loves bringing the joy of music to the hearts and minds of children and adults. In addition to teaching at Ascend Music Academy, Jody is currently the resident piano instructor at Maumee Valley Country Day School and also teaches lessons in people’s homes across the greater Toledo area. As an arts administrator, Jody has worked in New York as Development Associate for Lincoln Center Theater, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and as Conservatory Coordinator at the Conservatory of Music at the State University of New York at Purchase. She is thrilled to bring musical training to the community.
